The story

Auric was originally launched as Bonsai BV, a Ghent-based B2C fintech app that reportedly grew to around 100,000 users. In 2025, founder Koen Vanpraet announced a pivot from the consumer app to a B2B embedded finance infrastructure provider, rebranded as Auric. The new positioning targets sports clubs (and similar fan/loyalty-driven brands) with white-labeled co-branded payment cards designed to monetize fan loyalty via affiliate networks and payment data. The Club Brugge partnership is the flagship launch of this new model.
