“Can a new US national bank chartered from scratch replace slow correspondent banking with programmable, always-on dollar clearing for global fintechs and AI-era money movement?”
Started as Ivy, a European Open Banking checkout / instant bank transfer provider (the 2023-01-01 API still supports these products). Rebranded to Augustus in 2026 and pivoted upmarket into US clearing infrastructure — applied for and received OCC conditional approval for a US national bank charter (Augustus Bank, N.A.), positioning as a full-stack, always-on, programmable clearing bank for global fintechs, digital asset companies, and international banks. The thesis: replace slow correspondent banking with a stablecoin- and AI-native core running on Augustus's own Fed Master Account.
