The story

The American Board of Radiology is a not-for-profit medical certification body that traditionally administered in-person exams. The COVID-19 pandemic forced a rapid pivot to remote exam delivery in 2021, exposing gaps in candidate identity verification and exam integrity. To address these, ABR adopted authID's biometric authentication platform beginning in 2021, replacing an initial remote proctoring vendor that could not meet high-security requirements for multi-day medical certification exams.
