The story

Access Bank is a Nigerian multinational commercial bank that has expanded across sub-Saharan Africa and beyond. It has grown from a domestic Nigerian lender into a pan-African banking group with subsidiaries in Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana, Namibia, and other markets. Its embedded finance evolution has been incremental rather than disruptive — building proprietary payment gateway products (Access e-PAY, AccessPAY) on top of existing payment rails, and layering SME and corporate lending products including BNPL, supply chain finance, and asset finance.
